Runbooks
He cries for three main reasons:
- He is bored
- He is hungry
- He is tired
If he is crying and you want to stop him follow this algorithm in this order:
- Hold him - He likes to be held
- Burp him - His topside gas is very uncomfortable
- Bounce him - Not too fast, not too slow
- Check temperature - Make sure he is not hot
- Sing to him - Especially in Mandarin
- Feed him - Check the Home tab to see if its feeding time
- Change him - He enjoys this if he isn't too tired
- Gather supplies:
- Changing pad
- Diaper
- Wet butt wipes (multiple)
- Dry baby wipe (just one - as a pee guard)
- Open the new diaper and place it underneath his current one
- Open the old diaper - beware of potential bonus pee!
- Place dry baby wipe to protect against bonus pee
- Fold down old diaper underneath him
- Clean his bottom with wet baby wipes
- Remove old diaper
- Attach new diaper
